Our client is currently recruiting for a Production & Demand Planner to join their team based in Sligo.

Role Objective

The Production & Demand Planner is responsible for the aligning of the demand plan and production planning processes, Full Training Provided.

Key responsibilities & duties

Production Planning

To work with the planning team to develop realistic and achievable work centre production schedules.
To develop and publish schedule adherence targets and measure actual performance.
Proactively identify schedule misses and work with customer service team to communicate and minimize service impact.
To develop, control and maintain the plant planning system ensuring data integrity & operational efficiency.
Support the SCM Department in effective execution of IBP Process, with particular focus on Supply & Demand balancing.
Support Production planning process including production scheduling, capacity planning and schedule adherence
Demand Planning

Support the interface between the plant and customers.
Help maintain and constantly check data in demand management tools in order to keep forecast as realistic as possible, and adjusting demand planning strategies to suit business needs.
To organize replenishment of distribution centres according to parameters defined.
Ensure pro-active information about back-orders and potential delivery issues.
To analyse discrepancy between demand and capacity. Propose and apply needed actions to balance demand and supply.
Define stock levels to maintain at each level of distribution channel to ensure product availability with minimum inventory.
Assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analysing inventory flow and defining the most suitable forecast strategies.
Work with customer service to effectively overcome challenges and agree trade-offs.
Any other duties as required by management.
Continuous Improvement

Identification of systems or work practices which can be improved and recommendation of alternative approaches towards improvement.
Your qualifications & Experience

A level 7 Qualification in Supply Chain / Purchasing or APICS Qualification preferable
Minimum 2 years experience working within Planning / Demand Management in medical device industry
SAP experience preferable
