Sligo Tourist Development Association

The Sligo Tourist Development Association (STDA) was originally founded in the early 1950’s and today operates the much loved campsites in Rosses Point & Strandhill.

There are fifteen voluntary board members who make up the STDA. All are local residents, public & private professionals and local business owners who share a collective interest in improving and promoting the tourism offering in Sligo and the North West.

The campsites currently employ two permanent full time staff and ten seasonal full time staff as well as supporting a multitude of local suppliers & tradespeople. Each year, we welcome 10,000 visitors to Sligo between the months of April & September. Both campsites are registered with Fáilte Ireland and bear the Welcome Standards that Ireland’s hospitality is known for the world over.
