We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Co. Clare.
At ASafe we provide EHS management and training across a number of industries in Ireland. We are based in Ennis Co Clare but cover the Island of Ireland. Currently our team are working on some of Irelands largest construction projects within the Pharmaceutical, Manufacture and Data Centre industry. ASafe have seen good growth in 2021 and have a substantial portfolio of work for the next 5+ years. The chosen candidate will be primarily based in Ennis and will cover sites across the Munster region.
Description of Role:
We are currently recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to manage a number of projects in the Munster region, the candidate will be multi site based and will be responsible for all EHS aspects of the projects. The candidate will work along side the ASafe team.
As part of our excellent health & safety team your primary role will be to support the creation of a safer construction site. You will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety statements, legislation and company policy across the site and that all relevant safety documents are completed and filed correctly as well as training employees on the importance of health and safety on the job.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
You will provide EHS support to the site team
You will carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident and dangerous occurrence investigations, within your designated area of responsibility
You will carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements as required
You will liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date on site
You will maintain and track the accident and dangerous occurrence register
You’ll drive a safety culture by being a champion of best practice; conducting training for new and existing employees on the importance of health and safety on the job; and by suggesting improvements to existing methods of work
You will liaise with the client & ASafe management as required
You will provide a weekly site audit and progress report to the client and site team
You have a minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety
You have experience in a similar role
You have a strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc)
You must possess a full driving licence
